A jubilant Deanna Landers, 2005 Campaign Chairman, and Cathy Chitwood, United Way President,
shout, cheer, and "toot" their horns, after workers reported that the campaign  had exceeded its
goal for 2005.

Sandy Billodeau, Como-Pickton ISD Administrator, right, explains her success in collecting and
raising funds for United Way at her school, as worker Brenda Wright looks on. Como-Pickton ISD
exceeded their goal and contributed another $500.00, for this year.

United Way Executive Director, Charlotte Henderson, cuts and serves cake to all of the volunteers
in celebration of the 2005 goal being met and exceeded, on Wednesday!

You couldn't have found a happier group in Sulphur Springs as this group of United Way volunteers
paused to be pictured with the sign signifying their exceeding the 2005 goal on Wednesday.

"We still have some more packets out and Alliance Bank will be hosting a hamburger cookout in their parking lot, on November 4th," stated a jubilant Deanna Landers. "We should even have more money and I just want to thank everyone for 'stepping up to the plate,' despite tough economic times and having already opened their hearts and pocketbooks to the hurricane victims in this community! Isn't it great to live in such a great and giving community as Hopkins County?"

everyone will be coming through once again this year!" she stated.

Cathy Chitwood, United Way President, and Deanna Landers, Campaign Chairman, each received
a "stress busting ball" from Charlotte Henderson, Executive Director of United Way. "I figured
both of you would be needing these in the next couple of weeks!" declared Henderson.

Landers and the entire group of campaign workers listen intently as Lucy Vaden shares some of
the "success" stories from her over 20 years of working with the United Way effort in Hopkins County.
"I'm fortunate enough to get to see the results of the money going to help those in need," affirmed Vaden.

And, to the delight of everyone at the meeting, Helen McDaniels "models" the "camo" cap she
received as a door-prize at Wednesday's reporting meeting. Her friend, Lynda Hager, looks on
and enjoys the laughter.
