Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, friends, and neighbors attend the offical ribbon cutting for The Equine Company.
Wednesday morning found the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce busy conducting ribbon cuttings for two new businesses that have joined the Sulphur Springs business scene. They first arrived at Mugs Coffee Shoppe, owned by Lydia Bryant, on Bradford Drive (Radio Road), and then moved to the Industrial Drive location of The Equine Company for some fellowship and a warm welcome.

New Dairy Festival Queen Katie Watson, second from right, was on hand for her first official ribbon
cutting, after being crowned queen.

Mugs owner, Lydia Bryant, with the aid of her employees presented an array of gourmet coffees and
teas to those at her official ribbon cutting, on Wednesday.

Mugs Coffee Shoppe is located in the same building with Sulphur Springs Floral Company, also owned by Bryant, and features premium coffees, teas, and an assortment of gift packages, designed for the unique shopper. The owner and a large group of staff was present to make sure that everyone was welcome and that the latest in unique gifts were presented. The experience was a coffee drinker's delight!

Wally and Elena, of the Celtic Queen, drop by to offer their well wishes to Lydia Bryant, at her ribbon cutting.
Bryant stated that she wanted to offer unique things for the buying public and certainly had a large selection of cards, gifts, and unique, one of a kind, items on display for the most discriminating shopper. "We enjoy shopping for those items that will make an impression when they are given as a gift, or to 'catch the eye' of the shopper who is looking for something for themselves," expressed Bryant. "We want shopping to be both fun and relaxing, so we offer the delicious coffee and tea assortment to be enjoyed while you shop!"

David Byrnes, owner of The Equine Company, explains to those present at his ribbon cutting the
many lines of tack and horse products that he offers at his store on Industrial Drive.
The next stop of the morning was a unique new concept of a horse product and tack store, located at 1317 W. Industrial Drive, and owned by David Byrnes. The Equine Company describes itself as your "one stop equine specialty store," and features saddles, halters, blankets, hoof care products, farm and ranch equipment, ropes, and other products for the horse owner.

Local Chamber of Commerce members listened attentively to the presentation of the many products
offered at The Equine Company, and enjoyed refreshments.
Byrnes explained, along with his wife, Tammy, that they offered Priefert Ranch Equipment and almost anything that a horse owner would need for daily routines and performance showing. "We try to stock anything that the horse owner might need, and plan to even take custom orders for products, as well," explained Byrnes. "We want folks in Hopkins County to automatically think of us for all of their equine products!"

The Equine Company carries a large line of saddles, bits, and headstalls in their inventory.
The Equine Company has a large stock of custom made saddles by Circle Y, Dale Martin, Cactus, and other saddlemakers, as well as large line of Classic, Cactus, and Fast Back brand ropes. "We can fill almost any order for the horseman and will make every effort to get them any specific item that they might need," inserted Byrnes. "We carry horse supplements, orthopedic equipment, and a complete line of bits and headstalls, too!"
Many that attended Wednesday's ribbon cutting found the array of equipment that equine clients demand, "staggering." "I never knew that there were so many products for training and showing horses," commented one local businessman. "But, it seems like The Equine Company has everything!"
