SSISD To Host Reception
For Retiring Teachers

Patsy Bolton, Superintendent of Sulphur Springs ISD, announced plans on Wednesday for a retirement reception honoring those teachers in the Sulphur Springs Independent School District who will be retiring at the end of this school term. The reception will be hosted next Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in the Board Room of the Administration Building, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Those educators in the system who will retire at the end of the 2005-06 school year include: Bernice Brown, Houston Learning Center, Monica Crouch, Douglas Intermediate School, LaVerna Hipp, SS Middle School, Gladys Howell, SS Middle School, Ann Hudson, Bowie Elementary School, Larry Reese, School Administration, Juanita Ross, SS High School, and Hank Smith, SS Middle School.

"These educators represent years of experience and dedication to our system and the children of Sulphur Springs," expressed Bolton. "They are held in high esteem throughout the community and in the lives of the many, many students they have touched through their careers."

"We want the public to come join us in honoring these individuals for their many hours of dedication to the students of this community and district," continued Bolton. "We want to show our appreciation and honor them on this occasion of their retirement.
