"Much Ado About Talent"

Sulphur Springs High School Theater Arts Department "wowed" the community with their 2006 District One-Act Play entry, Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," and spotlighted the talent of the many performers who have devoted time and talent to the production. Startling costuming and stage design, as well as almost perfect English dialogue, brought members of Monday night's audience into the drama of the classic piece of Shakespearean work, from their seats in the Hopkins County Regional Civic Center. The 6:30 p.m. presentation featured the talented cast and crew that will be competing in District UIL competition, on Thursday, March 30th, at North Lamar High School..



Cast members include: Rachel Brown as Beatrice, Brandon Edwards as Antonio, Charlie Ginn as Don John, Chris Moon as Dogberry, and Robert Jackson as Don Pedro. Kelly Keys plays the part of Lady Margaret, and Jeff Kramer is featured as Leonato. Jessica Lewis stars as Lady Ursula and Tyhler Reppond is featured as Borachio. Ryan Thompson gives a complicated performance as Benedick, while Katie Watson is featured as Hero, and Chris White stars as Conrade, in a memorable performance. Zack Wisniewski is featured as Verges and Brandon Woolley is the famous Claudio. Brydric Wright rounds out the cast as Friar Frances.


Serving as cast understudies are Melissa Cutrell, Kristy Harder,  Chaz Hinkeldey and Kendall Smith. Crew members include Andy Ginn, Stephan Kramer, Stephanie Mobley, and Carley Stewart. Dawn Magness, Theater Arts Instructor at Sulphur Springs High School, serves as the director of the production.
