Top graduates in the Miller Grove High School Class of 2006 were announced on Thursday, by High School Principal Donna George.

Earning the top honors in the class and named valedictorian, is James Weaver, the son of Ernie and Vicky Weaver of Miller Grove. Weaver earned a four-year average of 98.288, or 3.961 on a four-point scale.

 



Named salutatorian of the 2006 class is Callie Smith, the daughter of Barry and Julie Smith. Callie compiled a four-year average of 97.00 or 3.905 on a four-point scale.

James and Callie will lead the class of seventeen graduates at both the baccalaureate and graduation services. Baccalaureate Services will be conducted at the Miller Grove Methodist Church, at 6:00 p.m., on May 28, 2006. Graduation exercises will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., June 1st, in the New High School Gymnasium.

Top graduates in the eighth-grade class for 2006, at Miller Grove School are Chance Lee and Daylan Burns. Chance, the son of Keith and Vicki Lee, is the valedictorian of his class, and Daylan, the daughter of Bruce and Shannon Millard, and David and Tosha Burns, is the eighth-grade salutatorian. Eighth-grade graduation is June 1, at 7:00 p.m., in the school gymnasium.
