42 Tournament

Competition was "fierce," as 42 players arrived at the Hopkins County Civic Center, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, to use their strategy in becoming the annual 42 Champion. Cindy Lancaster served as the chairman of the Dairy Festival Committee that hosted the event and reported many of the players saying they had the "best seat in all of Hopkins County," as they were able to play the tournament in the comforts of an air conditioned building, while others suffered outside, in the sweltering heat.

Veteran 42 players, Kevin Gibson, Tommy Rawson, Walt Gamblin, and Trey Hinton match their
skills in this round of 42, at Saturday's contest, in the air conditioned Civic Center.

When the "spots" were tallied, the team of Mike Kelty and Joey Martin, had bested all competition, to lay claim to the 2006 Title. They had won previous rounds and kept advancing to the championship match-up, that decelared them the winners.

Rodney Miller, Scotty Reed, Turk Morgan, and Leslie Rawson pit their skills against one another,
as they advance in the play of Saturday's tournament.

Joey Martin, far left, and his partner, Mike Kelty, far right, eventually bested everyone to be
declared the 2006 Dairy Festival 42 Champions!
