An "old friend" in the Hopkins County and Sulphur Springs Business Community, CPI Group, hosted an Open House and Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, at their new location, on Loop 301 East. The Company President and Founder, Roger Elliott, welcomed a large group of friends, family, and business leaders to his new facilities on Thursday morning, and gave guided tours through the technological company, that has been a part of the area for 38 years.

Elliott gave a brief history of the organization, from its humble $600.00 capital business in the garage of his home, on Broadway Street, to a company that today has International markets and embraces the latest in technology.

Bob Weaver, a representative of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, presented Elliott with a token membership certificate and the ribbon that was used for "cutting," as he welcomed CPI Group to the Chamber of Commerce Family of Businesses.

Elliott next introduced Kerry Wright, Chief Marketing and Sales Representative for CPI, who outlined the latest in office and print media and the machines that are available through the company to bring the technology to local businesses. Wright demonstrated a variety of new features available to the consumer, in meeting copying, faxing, scanning, and color production.

Chad Kopal, Director of New Business Development for CPI, gave an interesting presentation on the latest in technological advances in color copying. He told the group that within four years a black and white copier would be obsolete. "Everyone demands color copies and the market is shifting to reflect those demands," expressed Kopal.
