Residents had to get-up early on Sunday morning to witness the spectacular flights of those hot air balloons that participated in the Dairy Festival Hot Air Balloon Race, but for those who did, it was well worth the effort. Balloonist launched their balloons from various locations across Hopkins County, with the object to drop a bean bag from the balloon and get the closest to the target (a giant "X") in the field south of the Sulphur Springs High School Tennis Courts. The following are a series of photos that depict those balloonist who attempted to make the mark!
