Action continued at Coleman Park, on Tuesday night, in the Dixie Angels' Softball Tournament, and featured some exciting action with only one point separating the teams in each of the two games. The first game pitted Alabama against the Tennessee team, in which the losing team would be sent home, and the winner would play the losing team of the second game. In a very close decision that found the game tied at 5-5, Tennessee managed to earn a run and decided the match, 6-5.
The second game of the night featured our own Hopkins County Dixie Angels going into the game undefeated, against South Carolina. Again, it was a very defensive game with close results. South Carolina dealt our Angels a heartbreaking 1-0 loss, forcing them to play Tennessee, in a 6:00 Wednesday night game.
Our girls did an outstanding job and a large number of supporters were on-hand to support them from outside the diamond. Make plans to return to Coleman Park and support the Hopkins County Dixie Angels tonight!
