Galyean Home Selected
Landscape of the Month
by: Bobby McDonald
The brightly decorated home of Wayne and Wanda Galyean, located on Highway 154 South, has been chosen as the Front Porch News Landscape of the Month, for December. The home features a variety of Christmas lighting displays and an array of yuletide decorations that complete the theme of the season. The beautifully decorated grounds begins near the road with a lighted nativity scene, featuring the barn, the manger, and a lighted star above.

This nativity scene is strategically located near the entrance to the Galyean home, on Highway 154.
As one weaves down the drive, the home is decorated in a variety of lights and adorned with Christmas greenery, that features red Christmas bows. A lighted display proclaims "Happy Birthday Jesus" and collections of lighted reindeer, toy soldiers, and Christmas trees adorn the yard.

The landscape near the Galyean home is brightly decorated with collections of Christmas lights in a
variety of shapes, depicting different Christmas characters. And, a sign proclaiming "Happy Birthday
Jesus" can be seen lighted on the lawn.
A wooden bridge, that spans the nearby private lake, is decorated with three lighted crosses that are reflective in the water of the lake, for an added display effect. Collections of lighted Christmas trees throughout the landscape added to the total effect of the entire display.

Three lighted crosses are shown from the bridge that overlook the private lake, and produce a
reflective effect near the water.
If you aren't in the Christmas spirit, drive out Highway 154, and enjoy the spectacular Christmas display that is afforded at the Galyean home and you're sure to begin to feel more like celebrating the season.
